Objectives
1. Confirm the Data Management strategy for Sorghum in West Africa. (ICRISAT, IER and CIRAD to agree to a system, preferably led by ICRISAT as the Crop lead Center).
2. Set up a central database for Sorghum based on ICRISAT data.
3. Set up the local database for the MARS project to handle field data - load the MARS germplasm records, load the traits.
4. Produce fieldbook templates, train key users how to manage the pedigree data, train them how to use the fieldbook, show them how to transfer fieldbooks to hand-held computers and how to harvest the data from these.
